Where Does The Money Go?

Rock Cancer is Spierings Cancer Foundation’s primary fundraiser. During the 5th annual event, more than 5,000 people attended and it raised more than $108,000. From the past five years, Rock Cancer has raised over $400,000.

All of the proceeds are spent right here in Wisconsin. A majority of the donations are distributed in the Fox Valley area. With your help we’ve assisted 170 families with medicals bills, medicine, health insurance premiums, travel expenses and more. If you know of a family in need of assistance, complete one of our Grant Requests.

$87,6200 has gone to the hospitals in the Fox Cities. The funds have been used to purchase a variety of equipment. Along with an HD microscope, teleconferencing equipment and anti-nausea medication, the Spierings Cancer Foundations has financed massage therapy for patients currently fighting cancer.

The foundation has aided research ventures such as the Genetic Research/Counseling service at Affinity Health System. They’ve purchased a software program that links the genetic counselors at Affinity with the City of Hope Cancer Research Center in Duarte, CA.

The Spierings Cancer Foundation has provided funds to researchers at the University of Wisconsin Cancer Center’s Head and Neck Cancer Research Team and has aided the Medical College of Wisconsin Milwaukee for breast cancer research. The foundation is always looking to provide grants for cancer research. Click here if you would like to submit a proposal.
