At Spierings Cancer Foundation, we understand that a cancer diagnosis brings emotional and financial challenges. Our priority is to support local families as they navigate this difficult journey, alleviating some of the burdens that come with treatment. Our founder, Jim Spierings, believes in the power of community and wants to take at least one worry off your plate, allowing you to focus on what truly matters.

IMPORTANT GRANT APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Please beware of the application periods when submitting your grant request. When one application period closes, any new grant applications will be submitted into the next grant period.

GRANT APPLICATION PERIODS:

  • February 1 - May 31  Granted by June 30th.
  • June 1 - September 30 Granted by October 31st.
  • October 1 - January 31 Granted by February 28th.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants are eligible to receive only one (1) Grant from the Spierings Cancer Foundation. If you have already received a grant from us, you are no longer eligible.
  • Recipients must live in one of the following counties: Outagamie, Brown, Calumet, Winnebago, or Waupaca. Applications will not be accepted from individuals whose permanent residence is outside this area.
  • Applicants must currently be receiving cancer treatment.

A doctor's signature is required for your application to be considered. Once you complete the application, you will receive instructions on where to send your doctor's signature.

Before You Begin:

A Physician's Confirmation Is Required to Complete Your Application

As part of the grant application process, we require a signed Physician Confirmation form. Please download this form and ask your doctor to complete and sign it before starting your application. You will be prompted to upload the completed form as part of the application process.

This application is designed to help us understand your situation so we can provide you with the best support. You do not need to have everything “perfect”. Approximate answers are okay, and all information is kept confidential. Everything you provide helps us get a better understanding of your current cancer journey.
